Christ is...

Our Saviour:-

Matthew 1:21 “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Matthew 18:11 “For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10)

Matthew 24:13-14 “But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” (See Mark 13:13).

Mark 16:15-16 “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.”

Luke 2:11 “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.”

Luke 9:56 “For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” And they went to another village.”

John 1:29 “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”

John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

John 5:34 “Yet I do not receive testimony from man, but I say these things that you may be saved.”

John 10:9 “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”

John 12:47 “And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.”

Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Acts 5:31 “Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Saviour, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

Acts 13:23 “From this man’s seed, according to the promise, God raised up for Israel a Saviour—Jesus”

Acts 13:38 “Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins”

Romans 5:18-19 “Therefore, as through one man’s offence judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.”

Col 1:20-23 “and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. 21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled 22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— 23 if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.”

The Messiah

John 4:25-26 The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.” 26Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.”

The Bread of Life

John 6:35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”

John 6:47-48 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. 48I am the bread of life.”

John 6:51 “I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever...”

The Light of the World

John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

John 9:5 “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

Not Of This World

John 8:23 And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.”

John 8:42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me.”

The “I AM”

John 8:58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

John 18:5-6 Jesus said to them, “I am He.” And Judas, who betrayed Him, also stood with them. 6Then -- when He said to them, “I am He,” -- they drew back and fell to the ground.

The Good Shepherd

John 10:10-11 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 11“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

The World “Over-Comer”

John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

The Son Of God

John 10:36 “do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, `You are blaspheming,’ because I said, `I am the Son of God’?

The Resurrection and Life

John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.”

The Teacher and Lord

John 13:13 “You call me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am.”

The Way, Truth, And Life

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

The Perfectly Revealed God

John 14:7-11 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” 8Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” 9Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, `Show us the Father’? 10“Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11“Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.

John 8:28 Then Jesus said, “...I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.”

The True Vine

John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” (See John 15:1; 4).

A King

John 18:36-37 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” 37Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”

Has All Authority

John 17:1-2 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, 2as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him.”

Matthew 28:18 Then Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”

The Judge

John 5:22 “For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son...”

John5:27 “and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.

John 12:48 “He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him -- the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.

Acts 2:36 “...God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

Jesus Is God

Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Matthew 1:23 “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

John 10:33 The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”

John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”

Romans 9:5 “...Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen.”

Jesus is a Man

Philippians 2:5-8 “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a servant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”

1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus”

Hebrews 2:14 “...as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same...”

Hebrews 2:17 “Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren...”

Hebrews 4:15 “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.”

Jesus is the Creator

Ephesians 3:9 “...God who created all things through Jesus Christ.”

Colossians 1:16 “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.”

John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

John 1:3 “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”

John 1:10 “He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.”

Jesus is the Jewish Messiah (The word Christ is from the Greek translation of the Hebrew word we know as Messiah.)

Luke 2:11 “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.

Acts 2:36 “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

Acts 18:28 “for he vigorously refuted the Jews publicly, showing from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.”

Jesus Is Mankind’s Substitute

Romans 5:8 (ESV) “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 3:25 (ESV) “whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.”

Isaiah 53: “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”

Galatians 3:13 “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us...”

Romans 4:25 “who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.”

2 Corinthians 5:14 “...if One died for all, then all died.”

2 Corinthians 5:21 “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

Jesus is the Saviour

Philippians 3:20 “...we also eagerly wait for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ”.

John 3:17 “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

Acts 4:10 “...by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.”

Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Romans 10:9 “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Jesus Is the Only Way to God

1 John 5:11-12 “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Galatians 2:16 (ESV) “yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ...”

Jesus is the Healer

Matthew 4:23-24 “Now Jesus went about... healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.” 24“...and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.”

Matthew 8:16-17 “...they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, 17that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.”

Matthew 14:14 “And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.”

Matthew 12:15 “...great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all.”

Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

1 Peter 2:24 “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness -- by whose stripes you were healed.”

Jesus is the Provider

John 6:35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”

2 Corinthians 8:9 “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.”

Philippians 4:19 “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Jesus is the Coming King

Acts 1:11 “...This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

Revelation 19:11 “Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.”

Revelation 19:13 “...and His name is called The Word of God.”

Revelation 19:14-16 “And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron... 16And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”

Jesus is the Judge

Acts 17:31 “because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”

2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.”

Jesus Is Central

Colossians 1:17-18 “And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the pre-eminence.”

Matthew 28:18 Then Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”

Ephesians 1:10 (20th Century NKJ) “And it is also in accordance with the loving design which God planned . . . when he would make everything, both in Heaven and on earth, centre in the Christ.”

Philippians 2:9-10 “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth”

Colossians 2:9-10 “For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”

Jesus Is God’s Message

John 1:18 (ESV) “No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.”

Hebrews 1:1-3 “God, who at various times and in different ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets. 2has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things... 3who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person...”

John 14:7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also...”

Colossians 1:15 “He is the image of the invisible God...”

John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
